OK, I'm Here. Now What?

Well, after listening to various complaints about LJ, and after one nearly complete defection from same, I decided to finally break down and make a presence here, too. ::looks around at empty space::

I am not certain how to go about linking posts, but I'll try. Anyway, for the time being, this is simply a hedge (and a way of communicating with anyone who decides to break away from LJ all together). I will still be doing my posting and replying on LJ and I intend to remain there (since that's where most of my friends reside) unless unless they eff-up really badly. In the meantime, I'd appreciate any help I can get from those of you who have been here for awhile in navigating this unfamiliar territory. :-) For one thing, how do I find you all? If you have a space here at Dreamwidth, are you using the same username here as at LJ?

Nice to see you. :-) I'm happy to help if you have any questions. Crossposting is pretty simple - just go to the home page, and under the menu that says Create, Organize, Read, etc., select Organize -> Manage Account. That will give you a page with a series of tabs, and you want the one on the end that says Other Sites.
